Bookkeeper (Full or part time)

Reimann CPA is a boutique accounting firm based out of North Liberty, Iowa. We specialize in working with small to mid-sized businesses, providing CFO-level insights and strategic financial guidance that go beyond traditional tax preparation—helping business owners truly understand their finances so they can make confident decisions and grow.

We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to join our growing team. If you are a detail-oriented professional who likes solving financial puzzles, we invite you to apply and become a part of our growing accounting firm.

As a bookkeeper at Reimann CPA, you will be responsible for:

  • Recording Financial Transactions: Keeping accurate records of all financial transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments. This involves using accounting software such as QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
  • Reconciling Bank and Credit Card Accounts: Ensuring that the records in the client accounts match the corresponding statements and correcting any discrepancies.
  • Ensuring Compliance: Making sure that financial records comply with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Assisting with IRS Audits: Assembling information and documentation required for federal and state audits.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations; assist with preparation and review of tax returns.

Requirements:

  • Two years of experience in bookkeeping, finance, office management or related roles.
  • Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks preferred, but required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and Office
  • Knowledge of financial concepts, debits, credits, and budgeting
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Education: Candidates with a bachelor's degree in finance or a closely related discipline preferred, but not required. We value experience over formal education.

This role offers the opportunity to be part of a growing accounting firm from the ground up with high growth potential. While accounting and tax work can be fast-paced and demanding at times, especially during busy seasons, the work is meaningful, collaborative, and rewarding. We foster a relaxed, down-to-earth office culture that values accountability, growth, and balance—what you invest in this role directly shapes your outcome and earning potential.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $50.00 per hour, based on experience. Plus bonus structure.

Benefits:

  • Retirement plan with employer match
  • Health insurance reimbursement plan available
  • Paid holidays
  • Flexible hours in the summer
  • Hybrid work arrangement available
